May 14, 2016 today is National Buttermilk Biscuit Day but I opted for Homemade Peach Scones with Cinnamon Butter. Oh to die for! Here is the link for the Scone recipe http://www.sprinklesomesugar.com/fresh-orange-scones/?m but I never ever follow a recipe to the letter so I’ll tell ya what I did. I didn’t use orange zest, i used a big heaping spoonful of peach Preserves. I didn’t use sour cream i used 3/4 cup milk and about 1/4 or more of rediwhip ( real cream). And get this I dumped it all into one bowl none of the this in one bowl, this in that.. And no frozen butter. I melted Land O Lakes stick of butter in the microwave ( it might have been salted, i didn’t check). And added it to the bowl too and just mixed it all up easy like. Didn’t roll it out or add more flour. Just dropped by spoonful on parchment paper lined baking pan and baked at 400 for 15 minutes. Didn’t make the glaze cause I made Cinnamon Butter ( texas roadhouse type) yesterday and have a lot of that for the next long forever. So yes, more like a biscuit in looks than a scone but ever so tasty!
